Biography:

Ryan Hosek comes to Big River Golf Course from Portland, OR. Ryan is the Director of Golf and the Head Professional for both Big River Golf Course and the Ryan Hosek Golf Academy. Ryan has played golf at both the college level and professionally.

As an instructor, Ryan's philosophy is to teach the 8 key positions of the swing. Within that ideal, you also have to make adjustments for each individuals limitations. “It is my belief that the only way to truly become better at golf is to learn golf in its entirety. I teach golf in the simplest terms possible and from the ground up. I believe the key to becoming better as a golfer is to set goals, outline a plan, and instruct students on the range as well as on the course. Instructing golf in this manner allows the student a chance to have the success they are looking for in a lesson setting. As a result, the student will have the tools through range work and the trust from the on course experience so they truly improve.” The Ryan Hosek Golf Academy uses V1 Video Golf Analysis Software as well as an individual profile to set and achieve goals. Ryan has given instruction to Southern Africa PGA Tour Professionals Tyrone Van Aswegen and Jakobus Roos, and multiple collegiate golfers.

Ryan has been married seven years to his wife Apryl. They have two little girls, Brayden and Rylie.
